Lux Imperium

Lighting, control, audio-visual and clean power for venues that perform. When the house opens, the rig fires, the desk is talking to every fixture, the audio is clean and the power behind it all holds — that’s the job. We design, supply, install and service the technology that gets a theatre, performance space, school performing-arts centre, church AV setup or cultural venue ready for show time, and keep it running once you’re in season.

What we do

Entertainment technology, end to end:

• Theatrical lighting — fixtures, control desks, dimming, intelligent lighting and network-controlled rigs
• Audio-visual — systems for performance and presentation spaces
• Rigging and control infrastructure — the backbone that ties the rig together
• Clean power — UPS and power conditioning, so a show stays on its feet when the venue’s mains supply isn’t up to it

Not a parts catalogue — we design the system, install it, and stay on to service it.

Who we work with

The arts, entertainment and cultural sector across New South Wales: theatre companies, school performance centres, community-arts venues and cultural institutions. A large share of NSW's resident theatre venues and medium-sized venues work with us — built on years of relationships, not one-off sales. The work ranges from a single replacement lighting bar through to a full turn-key venue upgrade — modernising a performing-arts centre for the next generation of students, for example.

One job, properly licensed

A performance venue mixes mains-voltage lighting, low-voltage control and structured network cabling, and we’re licensed for the lot — we work under Real World’s NSW electrical contractor licence (481068C) where the install needs it. We’re a distinct business with our own clients and our own crews, but we sit inside the Real World group, so when a venue needs both stage technology and the IT, network and security behind it, both teams turn up to the same site under one plan. You deal with one accountable supplier, professionally run — not a loose collection of subbies.

Why it matters

A venue isn’t a generic commercial fit-out. The rig, the control network, the audio and the power feeding all of it are one interconnected system with show-time consequences. We’re built around that reality — designed and operated by people who understand both the show and the wiring.
