Remote Desktop is one of the greatest features of Windows Server. Many of our clients use it to enable secure remote work, provide a consistent desktop experience and to reduce hardware and infrastructure costs. Until now, Remote Desktop has required a specific client for either Windows, MacOS X, iOS or Android to allow users to connect.

Microsoft has just announced the public preview of the Remote Desktop Web Client for Windows Server 2016. We’re certainly excited about the future possibilities with this software – only needing a web browser!

The only down side? This feature looks like it will only be supported for Remote Desktop Services in Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and newer Windows Server release cycles.
