Some of our Mobile and Mobile Data plans are provided via Optus Wholesale, and these are sourced via an network aggregator we partner with.
Following the news of the data breach, we made investigations to determine if any Real World customer data was compromised as part of this breach. We can confirm that customers who purchased mobile phone or mobile data plans where Real World provides the billing, there has been no breach related to this data.
If you are a direct customer of Optus, we encourage you to continue to work with Optus around the nature of data that may have been breached, and take any steps suggested by Optus, State or Federal Governments to protect your identity.
We’ll be running a webinar on Thursday 13th October in conjunction with CMA regarding the Optus Data Breach, and lessons that boards, senior managers and directors can learn from this. If you are interested, you are welcome to register via the CMA website.
