Who we are
Real World Technology Solutions has been doing this work for 25 years, and the same engineers who answer the phone today are the ones designing the networks, running the backups and rebuilding the cloud platforms our customers depend on.
We’re a managed service provider, a carrier, a voice platform operator, a hosting provider, and the technology partner behind a family of sister businesses. The shared thread is that we operate the layers, we don’t just resell them.
The difference
The single sharpest difference between Real World and most MSPs is that we operate as both the service provider and the infrastructure underneath it. When something fails, the person fixing it works for us.
Your backups land on infrastructure we own, in our own Australian datacentres across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Darwin and Perth, with long-term copies kept in secure cloud storage. The destination is ours, not a rebadged third-party bucket.
The network behind all of this is ours, not rented — we run our own carrier-grade network as a Carriage Service Provider (AS45437), with direct interconnect to Telstra, Superloop, Vocus, Transgrid and others. Our retail brand HyperConnect rides on it, and Real World Networks is our separate sister carrier — a Greenfields Carrier with Statutory Infrastructure Provider designation.
CloudPBX is our hosted voice platform, fronted by us with multiple carriers — Symbio, Pivotel, Over the Wire and Vocus among them — sitting behind us, so a call is never dependent on any single one.
Your WordPress sites stay up, secure and looked after — including the awkward migrations most providers won’t touch. We run the hosting ourselves, on our own cPanel platform, and keep the SSL certificates renewed and the security patched so you don’t have to think about it.
Every endpoint and server we manage is watched around the clock, so problems get caught before they reach you. We run the monitoring and security ourselves across the whole estate — on tools including Datto RMM and Microsoft Defender — rather than handing it to someone else.
Multiple Australian datacentres across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Darwin and Perth — with multiple sites in several of our larger metros. Workloads where they need to be, not in one rented rack.
The combination of electrical, security, IT and vendor-partner credentials in one business is rare, and it’s what lets us deliver work that most MSPs and most contractors can’t.

The same skill set that powers a boardroom AV install also powers a film-set’s production wireless and a theatre venue’s dimmer rack. We move between stages. Our work with films is the network, the firewalls, the wireless and the temporary site installs — and we can do it because we do productions. From boardrooms to blockbusters, the engineering is the same.
