It’s BACK! NBN HFC set to resume sales this month!

After having the HFC pin pulled in December last year, nbn announced yesterday that they are resuming HFC sales on 27th April in Sydney and Melbourne, and progressively to the rest of the country by the end of June.

The nbn™ HFC network uses the Hybrid Fibre Coaxial network that was previously operated by Telstra/Foxtel to deliver speeds using coaxial cable and an nbn HFC termination device.

Almost 3 million premises will be connected with HFC, with about 370 000 ready to be connected now. nbn co have said they have undertaken “considerable” work to address the challenges which faced the HFC rollout previously, which included problems with activation, network performance in peak loads and stability of network nodes.
