Next week we’ll be rolling out a new CloudPBX Admin Login experience, enabling two factor authentication and federated login.
What’s new?
CloudPBX’s legacy login system used a username and password to authenticate users. With this change, users will authenticate with their email address, and optionally using Google or Microsoft login. Credential sharing was quite common between users, and this change introduces enhanced security by tying logins to individual email addresses.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be rolling out new functionality into CloudPBX that will also use the same login system.
What does it mean for me?
When you first go to log into CloudPBX you will be presented with the new login screen:

You can log in using a federated login system, or Register a new account:

Once your account is created, our team will need to map your account to your tenancy. We are working to make this a more seamless process for users
What if I managed multiple CloudPBX accounts previously?
For approximately 18 months we’ve supported shared admin accounts for users. If you previously used different login accounts to access multiple CloudPBX tenancies, our team will create you a new “shared admin” account and provide access to all the tenancies you previously logged into indivudally.
When you are logged in, you can choose a new tenant using the “Tenant Selection” menu in the top right corner.

What if multiple staff members need administrative access?
Each staff member who needs access should create their own account, which we will then grant access to your tenancy. This improves access logging, security and accountability. In the future we’re intending to enable company authorised contacts to be able to manage their own set of staff.
How do I remove access to a user?
At this stage removing access can be done by our support team.
What do I do if I have any problems with my access?
Simply reach out to our support team who will be more than happy to assist you.
